About the Project

 The goal of the project is to increase environmental awareness and awareness in connection with climate change. Climate change, air pollution, conservative use of energy, training and campaigning on renewable energy sources. It is aimed to increase the consciousness level of the students participating in this training, contribute to their growth as more sensitive individuals towards the environment and leave a cleaner and greener world for future generations.

 

For this purpose, he created the Environment Class in Tarsus and Antalya Municipality and organized trainings for elementary school students. Muğla Municipality Solar House has created awareness of renewable energy, especially students. Malmö Municipality informed the students about the renewable energy resources through various applications within the Sun Park.

Project activities

  • Training and seminars on renewable energy sources were organized for 50 elementary school teachers between 01 - 05 September 2008.
  • Environment Class was established in Tarsus Municipality Facilities so that it could give education with 40 students.
  • The energy requirement of the Environmental Class is provided by the installed solar panels (700 watts) and the wind turbine (200 watts).
  • Project partnership with the Provincial Directorate of National Education was established and a total of 2,250 students from 5th, 6th and 7th grade primary schools participated in the trainings.
  • Trainings were prepared with contribution of project associate Mersin University Tarsus Vocational Higher School. The trainings were planned as 2 hours and 1 hour theoretical 1 hour application.
  • The brochure was prepared and distributed to the participating students in the context of climate change, solar energy, wind energy, biogas and energy saving.
  • The poster about the project has been prepared and distributed on board.
  • A publication was prepared and distributed to the students.
  • After the project was completed, environmental class education continued and 750 primary school students were trained.
  • Municipal Public Buildings Solar panels (1.000 watts) built in the building and used in the electricity building. Thus, the practices of our people were closely observed and examined.
